Gina Carano is an ex-martial artist, presently a model, actor, and television personality who was born in Dallas, Texas, to the family of Dana Joy and Glenn Carano. She has two sisters and was raised by her mother alone after the divorce of her parent when she was seven years old.

Gina being a marital artist was not something she thought she would find herself in. When she was just 21 years old she followed her boyfriend to the gym. His trainer advised her to lose some weight because she weighed 178 lbs. From there she started training in the gym. Two years later, Gina took part in a documentary film about five American women who trained under Master Toddy and went to Thailand to meet the country’s Muay Thai fighters.

In the year 2006, she made her first professional MMA debut. In that same year, she defeated renowned marital artists like Leticia Pestova, Rosi Sexton, and Elaina Maxwell. Due to Gina’s performance in ‘Ring Girls’, She featured in the Oxygen Network reality series “Fight Girls” in the year 2007. That same year, she acted in the documentary “Countdown to Destiny” and won two professional MMA opponents namely Julie Kedzie and Tonya Evinger.

Year 2008, Gina defeated two professional MMA opponents namely Kaitlin Young and Kelly Kobold. That same year, she appeared as one of the female professional fighters in the competitive TV show “American Gladiators” and voiced Natasha Volkova in “Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3,” an authentic strategy video game.

Carano acted as Veretta in the 2009 action drama film “Blood and Bone,” which featured prominent actors. She had her first lead film role in 2011. In 2012, Carano starred in the movie “I Am Bruce Lee.”
